Chickens living on open pasture with movable coops ("chicken tractors") or shelters. These are rotated regularly to give chickens access to fresh grass and to fertilize the land naturally.
We are a family run farm, working with our kids to heal the land and raise healthy food for us and the community. We believe in knowing where your food comes from and how much work it takes to get that food from the farm to your table. We want to instill in the next generation the importance of sustainable farming, organic practices, little to no waste of your resources, and over all good stewardship of the land God has placed before us. We believe a life well lived is one in the fresh air and sunshine, spending time with the people you love the most. Blessings from our family to yours.
At Chicken Pot Pie Farms, we rotationally graze our cattle to provide the freshest, most delicious, nutritious grass for our cows daily.
We believe that sustainable farming practices are essential for the health of our soil and our community.
As we move the animals strategically in paddocks, we are building the health of our pasture through less ground disturbance, no pugging, or mud spots develop. The cow's manure is spread out more evenly, naturally fertilizing the field.
